So Already its march, and were nearly a quarter of the way through the year. It also means the start of a few things for me.
Firstly, A new position at work, instead of testing the software, I am providing support to everyone that will be testing the new software, by providing help with the mainframe, that’s right a MAINFRAME. So far I have been doing this position for a little over 2 weeks and well I have been getting right into the swing of things. I think this position will be for 6 months or so, then hopefully off to another learning experience.
Secondly, I have started to train with the Gungahlin Eagles Rugby Union team, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are finally over the pre-season run fest that is conditiong, and are starting to do a little more bump pad work, as well as getting some plays set for this years season. So far we have been training for a month, but we need to as our first preseason game is on the 8th April. So looking forward to the new season.
Thirdly, I have started to do online study for Bachelor of Technology (Computing Studies), which will give me a nice degree, that will help me later on in life. As I am doing this online, it will take a little longer then if I was doing it full time, but as a full time employee, I had to chose between either or. So far we have started Week one of a 13 week semester, and I have read all the introductionary (week 1) documents. This covers both courses “Introduction to Information Technology” and also “Introduction to Programing”. I am not sure how I will go but in a few years we will find out the result.

So, today i spent lets see, 9am – 5pm so that makes it, 7 hours in my car today, driving from my home to McDonalds in Tuggeranong, to meet a mate, who also owns a liberty, for a nice fun drive to the snowy mountain region and back home, all in all we covered well over 550 odd km, and lots of time spent hugging corners and, enjoying the wonderful sights that the snowy mountains has to offer.
Also got to swing past the Murray 1 Power station, probably Australia’s biggest hydro electric dam, and well lets just say it looked massive, i did not get any photos of the plant, but I did get photos of the cars as the day drew on. Those can be found at

So that is what i got upto today, a little bit of driving, with a hell of a lot of fun.

So this is what 2010 feels like. Seems the same as 2009 but with an extra number or is it. ??
why am i asking you this, well for that question I have no idea, but here in no uncertain fashion is a list of new things in my life 
- New House – I have moved into a share house with a few very nice ladies, who are both friendly and easy going, and I really enjoy it here, its a nice place, in a nice location, and well its saving me money for a house.
- New Laptop – I have just taken ownership of a nice 13″ Macbook Pro, and I can say, I should have switched ages ago. Well maybe to a laptop, as it seems to work for everything I want to do, and I don’t have to be at the desk, I can be on the bed, the lounge room ANYWHERE…!!! maybe not on the bog, a little dirty in there, so i guess not everywhere.
- New internet – Although it means an end to my gaming escapades on the internet, it does mean I can carry it around with my laptop, and for $50 a month is not a bad pick up.
Coming Up This Year:
This is year I will be growing one year older to the tendor age of 23, and wow, what happened to all those teenage years, oh thats right I was killing virtual people and also going to school.
Rugby Union – this will mark the first (of possibly many more) years I will be playing Rugby union for the Gunghalin Eagles. I have no idea what position I will fit into, although I have the size for all positions. I think either Flanker, or inside Centre might be the start. I would love to make the second row, and maybe even front row, but I guess I will need some bigger body mass.
Training – I step into a new training year, this will be the second consecutive year of training, and I think this year I have the best fitness going into training, so lets see what this year holds for me
So a big year, maybe I might post another blog post, well at lease before this year ends

Welcome to Turtlez first blog post, and well I am sure you are as excited as I am about the content this blog will bring to the interwebs, really I don’t think this is something you want to write home to your mum about unless your mum is my mum and then go ahead
So I have decided to let the world know what it is I do with my time at home, and this blog will be the outlet for all my brain workings and doings. So a list of what will be coming to a Turtlez! blog post near you..
- Photos – I have been an avid photgrapher for about 6 months and I will post my artsy fartsy pictures when I take them (which at the moment is rare
)
- Cars – I am a car lover and anything that tickles my fancy, if it be about my car or a car of some kind then it will make it here.
- IT – I am an IT geek, which means that I will be posting IT related posts from time to time.
- PC Gaming – I have been an avid PC gamer for well carry the 2 and you get 8 years. I spent most of my schooling playing the mother of time wasters Counter Strike: Source. So Gaming related posts are a sure thing here.
- Mapping/Modding – I don’t mind to dip my pinky into some game level designing and currently are working on a full Left 4 Dead campaign, thats right a full campaign. I will post progress information here as well.
- Coding – I have been know to make programs from time to time. Programs that PC’s run and make your live not much easier, but hey I am sure someone will eventually need something I make. So those posts will make it here as well.
So I think as a first post I have waffled on for far too long. I hope someone is reading this far. Oh yeah, the look should be around for a few more days. I have a design set, just need to fine tune and see if it will work. So yeah please write me a comment and well we will see what goes on.
